Hi there reader, you’ve probably landed here looking for some construction help and advice - or more likely because you know me and wanted to check out what I am doing. I am Deanna Alexander, a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in the construction industry, and I've recently founded Armony Construction, a California based General Contracting firm. In tandem with launching my new venture, I've undertaken a mission: to educate individuals seeking construction services, equip them with the knowledge they need, and empower them to confidently choose and collaborate with a General Contractor for their upcoming projects.
Before diving into what I hope will be impactful topics, I wanted to take a moment to connect with you personally. I want to share my purposes and extend an invitation for your invaluable input and engagement. Every word you'll find here is derived from my own experiences, insights, or the collective wisdom of those around me. My expertise is rooted in the domain of general contracting in California, and I want to emphasize that if you possess a deeper knowledge or alternative perspectives, I wholeheartedly encourage you to get in touch. I am NOT an expert in everything, but as a General Contractor I have a lot of general knowledge. Think of me as the “Jack of all trades, yet a master of none”. I do have an academic background in construction, in addition to my professional one. I'm an eager learner, always open to expanding my knowledge or deepening my understanding of familiar topics. I am planning for the topics here to be ranging from design considerations and construction innovations to management and general education – always based in the domain of construction. I do hope to have guest contributors - whether they write their own pieces or we synthesize our writing into one publication. I aim to post every two-weeks and hope to make each article about the same in length (aiming for 10-15 min of reading maximum). And where possible, I want to provide additional resources (typically those accessible via the internet) to those needing them or interested in knowing more.
